According to a report in the April issue of Wired magazine, Android is leading the downloading of apps in the marketplace, skyrocketing to a 4 to 1 ration over Apple apps in 2010. Also in 2010, Android’s share of smartphone sales exceeded Apple’s for the first time. In addition to that, there are currently 170 devices that run the Android OS, compared to 5 for Apple’s. Because of that, and the iTunes App store’s business model, Talkster has decided to concentrate first and foremost on building Android apps.
Talkster’s Android app features webcam capability, works with any IM (instant messaging network), and has the ability to do vertical billing and to charge for in-chat content.
However, Talkster has created Apps for Blackberry, Nokia and iPhone devices as well, and we have the technology and experience to realize a variety of apps on all platforms.
